The action picks up the the second half as a bitter rivalry develops between Rick (who has spent several months in Juvenile detention), and his former best friend Lars, (who has abandoned his standards and discipline.) Carrizo Gorge, Goat Canyon Trestle One of San Diego’s Best Kept Secret - The desert mountains to the east of San Diego include rugged wilderness areas noted for bighorn sheep, Swainson's hawks, golden eagles, and oases surrounded by native California palms. The Carrizo Gorge at the southern edge of Anza-Borrego State Park is a spectacular chasm and home to the Goat Canyon railroad trestle. Two hundred feet tall and 750 feet long, it's the tallest curved wooden trestle ever built in the world.Click here for more information |

Girls Camp was GREAT!
Come ye and let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord and He will teach us of His ways and we will walk in His Paths. -- Isa 2:3

For our Spiritual preparation for Camp, We are memorizing Joseph Smith's Prayer found in the Pearl of Great Price pg. 49. This is a scripture mastery for seminary this year.
We started memorizing v. 16 last week. This week we are working on v.17.
To memorize, read the verse through out loud 3 times. Then write the first letter of each word on paper. Read the verse through by using only the first letter of the verse. Repeat this 3 times. You will be amazed at how the verse jumps out as you look at the first letter!
Repeat this process every day during your scripture study time. Soon, you will be able to quote the verse without looking at the letters. Only do 1 verse at a time.
You will accomplish this challenge.

But, exerting all my powers to acall
upon God to deliver me out of the power of this enemy which had seized
upon me, and at the very moment when I was ready to sink into bdespair
and abandon myself to destruction just at this moment of great alarm.
I saw a pillar of clight
exactly over my head, above the brightness of the dsun,
which descended gradually until it fell upon me.

On September 2, the Young Women of the Rancho Bernardo Ward took a stand for virtue by planting a flag on top of 4S Ranch Mountain. Sitting on top of a 22 foot pole, and measuring 4 feet x 6 feet, the flag can be clearly seen as far away as I-15. Check out more pictures.
